Edgewater Hosts Fall BBQ for Residents Who Love New Water-Oriented CommunityOn October 26th, Edgewater, Johnson Development Corporation’s new water-oriented community located in Webster, hosted a Resident Fall BBQ to welcome to new residents – and potential new residents – to the new community. Guests enjoyed live music, BBQ and pumpkin decorating during the evening event near the newly completed basin that will be the focal point of the community – the Edgewater marina. Nearly thirty residents attended the event, and they all had one thing in common: they love their new homes in Edgewater. The fourth family to move into Edgewater this past June, Michael and Rebekah Arizola enjoy the accessibility of the community to a major highway. Rebekah works in Houston and has found a respite in her new home in Edgewater. “We love the environment – the nature preserve, the marina – it’s so beautiful,” said Rebekah. “It’s about lifestyle for us. We were looking for a subdivision that would hold its value and was accessible to a major highway. We found that with Edgewater.” Located on minutes away from shopping, restaurants and professional services, the Sprague’s are relocating from Kingwood to be near the water and for the value. They are currently building a Coventry home and will move in just in time for the holidays. “The marina was a huge factor for us,” said Bruce and Oksu Sprague. “We wanted to be close to the water. We lived in Kingwood for 25 years and our home value was not increasing as we felt it should. We wanted a new home, and we wanted to get in on the ground floor of a new community because of the value. And, we enjoy being so close to the amenities of the Clear Lake area – restaurants, shopping and of course, the water.” The convenience of Edgewater was also a major factor for new residents Jason and Moon May who moved to the community from Kemah six months ago. “We both work at NASA, and we can be on site in less than 5 minutes from Edgewater with the NASA Parkway Bypass,” said Moon May. “The accessibility to everything we need is great.” Edgewater’s newest residents relocated from nearby League City where they lived for twenty years. While they weren’t looking to move, one visit to Edgewater changed their mind. “We weren’t really looking to move,” said Charles and Elena Gabb. “We came out here and in 30 minutes bought a house. We loved the floor plan and the community. We renovated our home three times over the years and always wanted a great room with high ceilings. Our new home has 18’ ceilings, and now we have the great room we always wanted. We love it!” Realtors can cash in with exciting incentives by introducing Edgewater – slated for only 400 single-family homes – to their clients. Simply by bringing a prospect to Edgewater, Realtors will receive a $25 VISA Gift Card per registered prospect. A $100 VISA Gift Card is earned by Realtors who present an accepted new home sale contract in Edgewater, and at the closing of the sale, Realtors receive a $1,000 VISA Gift Card. Edgewater, is a mixed-use, master-planned community along Clear Creek on 538 acres in Webster, Texas. The community will feature upscale single-family homes, private canals and a town center with retail, commercial and residential components.
